How to Post Vehicles to Facebook Marketplace Without Getting Flagged
Marketplace rewards sellers who look like people, not machines. Here is how posting cadence, photo variety and listing copy keep your dealership account healthy.
Why accounts get flagged
Facebook does not publish a rulebook for vehicle listings, but the pattern behind most restrictions is consistent: accounts that behave mechanically get limited. Twenty identical listings inside ten minutes reads as automation, and automation is what the spam systems are tuned to find.
Pace beats volume
The single highest-impact change most dealerships can make is slowing down. A steady drip of listings spread across the working day outperforms a single bulk dump, because it survives.
A cadence that works
- Cap the day at somewhere between five and fifteen new listings while an account is young.
- Leave at least ten to fifteen minutes between posts.
- Post during business hours in your own timezone.
PostToMarket enforces both of these numbers for you. Your daily ceiling and minimum delay live in posting settings, and the extension simply will not pull another vehicle from the queue until the delay has elapsed.
Make every listing look different
Duplicate content is the other common trigger. Two trucks of the same trim should still have their own photos and their own description.
- Lead with a different photo per vehicle, and use several per listing.
- Write the description around what is specific to that unit: mileage, service history, options.
- Keep the title in the shape buyers search for, usually year, make and model.
Warm up new accounts
A brand new account posting forty vehicles on day one is the highest-risk thing you can do. Start at a handful per day and raise the ceiling over two or three weeks.
What to do if you do get limited
Stop posting from that account immediately. Continuing to push listings into a restriction tends to escalate it. Let the account sit, keep responding to existing buyer messages, and resume at a lower daily cap.
